Well folks, it isn't working out. I'm shutting this down. I know there's people out there who want fresh, local, sustainable seafood from a source they trust, but it's more than I can handle.

Thanks to everyone who bought salmon or crab from me, maybe someday I'll try again, but for now, back to sea for me.

I want to thank everyone for their patience and enthusiasm while I figure out how exactly to run this business! We're taking a break while I ply the waters of Bristol Bay, Alaska for sockeye salmon. Bristol bay is perhaps the last healthy wild salmon run on the planet and is a beacon of sustainable fisheries.

Start clearing out your freezers to make room for the Fall run of Chinook and Coho salmon! Coho is my personal favorite, and it's what I load my freezer with to eat for the rest of the year. It freezes better due to the lower fat content.

I may not be able to reply, but if you send me a message I will make sure that you get your share!

If lady luck is around I'll have some more fish available tonight, but they're coming in a little late, around 9pm. I can, of course, keep them on ice for you until tomorrow.

Big thanks to Kendall and Wade at the Green Door Cafe! Head down there today and get yourself a Springer Sammich!
Yesterday was the first small test run for Wintermute Wild Foods, and it went great. I still have some kinks to work out, but I'm very excited to begin closing the gap between wild fish and consumer.

Limited pre launch fish sale! On the boat with the net soaking right now!

I have a few beautiful Spring Chinook caught by Captain Martin Rice available on a first-come first-served basis.
Martin is my long-time crab skipper and good friend. He believes in treating the river, ocean and planet in a manner that will protect its natural beauty and resourses for generations to come. He has fished from Alaska to Oregon for his entire life and has plied the waters around Astoria for the last 38 years.
I am proud to vouch for the quality of his catch and of his character.
Today's fish will be sold whole only. $17/lb. Sizes are trending a little small this year, with an average weight of 8-10lb.
