It’s a busy weekend in Astoria. Pop out to and grab some things for easy meals. One of the simplest and fastest things to make is a nice bowl of pasta. makes the best sauce. It’s hard to believe that we’ve been open for a little over a month already… time has flown by in unimaginable ways. There is something we wanted to tell you:

We’re celebrating the 4th of July this week with a party on Pier 39!

Starts at 4pm - no tickets required. Park at Hampton Inn (SE corner) and walk over the bridge to the fun.

MUSIC LINE-UP:
*4-6pm - Barb Gaidosh and Chris McNeary.
*6-8pm - Jim Wallace & Friends.
*8-10pm - Jeremy Cornwell.

FOOD & DRINKS:
OleBob’s Seafood Market, Athena Mediterranean Kitchen, Rogue Pub, and snacks from MESS HALL MARKET. From 4-6pm is Happy Hour with Vineside Wine Bar

We’ll have tents, tables, and chairs set up for you to relax and enjoy. Stay an hour—or the entire time.

On deck for the festivities will be Garth the Bubble Man & Liv the Face Painter. Activity area for smaller people with playdough too. Fourth of July sticker sheets for all! Ghost Ship Trading Post will be open late for all your sweatshirt/t-shirt and souvenir needs as well.

Fireworks begin at dusk, around 10pm. We’ll head to the back and side decks to watch the display through the grand finale.

After three days of being open, we are ready for our GRAND OPENING 🥳🎊🎉🍾

Well folks, here it is! Athena’s soft opening is FINALLY happening!!! 🩵🥳
Even though the idea of Athena was born at the end of February 2024 (yes, only 4 months ago 🤭), owning a small restaurant with Jonas that brings people together and makes them feel completely loved and welcomed has been a dream of mine for a very long time. Astoria is such a magical place, like a storybook town, with storybook-like characters (the local community), that made us really want to chase this dream. has always been a favorite spot for us, and to start this Mediterranean eatery on this beautiful pier is more than we could ever dream of! We are forever grateful to the owner of (Stacey Stahl 🩵) for helping me materialize this dream. I also want to thank all my wonderful friends and family for supporting us in the past weeks in every way. We are forever grateful to be part of this incredible community 🩵 we hope you can feel the love we have put into this space and food with every bite of your Falafels, Gyros, and Shawarmas 🥰
And we hope you can smell the food all the way from the Astoria Column 😉
