Ima, what a moment!! We couldn’t be happier for you and your family!

Watching you and your sister walk into that ring with two lambs looking awesome was pretty special. You both put in the work, had them looking great, and sure didn’t make the judge’s decision easy! When he landed on that blue lamb, we couldn’t help but smile. You built that girl into something pretty darn special and had her looking the part to run against the boys!

What we love even more is knowing we’re already talking about 2027. That says a lot about you and your family, you’re excited to celebrate this one, but you’re already thinking about how we can learn, improve, and make the next set even better. We absolutely love being a part of that!

And we can’t forget about showmanship! We’ve always preached that having a good lamb is only half the battle. You have to put in the time and learn how to present one, and you showed just how far you’ve come this year. We are so proud of you, and congrats on Champion Senior Showman!

And Aubrey, you deserve a huge congratulations of your own! Champion Intermediate Showman is not an easy one to find and you made it happen.

It’s hard to find the words to express the happiness and excitement you have brought to our program. I truly feel like we could put just about anything in your hands, and you would find a way to feed it, fit it, and show it at the highest level.

I’m especially glad you saw something special in this natty and kept pushing for him even when I was on the fence. You trusted your eye, believed in what he could become, and got him as dialed in as he possibly could be. There is no doubt that your hard work and natural instincts brought out the very best in him.

Working with you over the past couple of years has been something truly special. Getting to know you and your mom and having both of you as part of our team has meant more than you know. Your eye for livestock, your ability to recognize a good one, and your talent for getting them on point are second to none.

As this chapter begins to close and the next one opens, we couldn’t be more excited to see where life takes you. We are incredibly proud of everything you have accomplished and grateful to have played a small part in your journey.

It has truly been an honor getting to work with you and your family again this year. Watching you take this guy from the beginning, put in the work, and build him into a lamb capable of finding the backdrop has been incredibly rewarding.

But one of the coolest parts has been watching you grow right alongside your projects. Your confidence and abilities in the ring continue to develop, and seeing you branch out this year, step outside your comfort zone, and try some new events has been so much fun to watch.

Some of your exercise techniques might be a little revolutionary and certainly aren’t found in any show lamb handbook we’ve ever seen but apparently flamingo conditioning works! If it gets them to the backdrop, who are we to question the program?!

Pictures and memories like this are exactly why we love what we do. Yes, winning is exciting. Yes, hanging banners is awesome. But watching these kids work hard, have fun, build friendships, and make memories with their projects is what makes all of it worthwhile.

Kylie, without thinking twice, we’d happily put as many lambs in your barn as we possibly could. We’re proud to have you and your family representing our program and even more excited to see where you take things from here. Keep the flamingo inflated. 🦩

When this season started, we had some pretty big goals. From the day you picked this guy out, it felt like you did it with a purpose and after countless hours of feeding, working, adjusting, and getting him built exactly the way we wanted, it was finally show time, And you made it happen.

What makes this season even more special is everything that happened outside the ring. The constant update pictures, videos, questions, and communication made it feel like we were right there alongside you every step of the way. That kind of teamwork is exactly what it takes when you’re chasing that backdrop.

At this point, you better let me know when the next family reunion is, because after a season like this, there is no doubt we’re officially family!

Janet, you had one heck of a county fair! We sure love getting lambs into your hands, ma’am. Not only did you find the backdrop with your ewe but also you were named Champion Junior Sheep Showman and that is so impressive. It seems like every year we work together, we learn something new, make another adjustment, and get a little better at figuring out how to have these lambs dialed in when it matters most.

This one is pretty special to us. She is everything we imagined when we decided to line her White Chocolate mom up with The Alamo. Her maternal line traces back to the legendary Miss Kitty from Kaufman’s, and without question, this has become the winningest ewe family in our flock. Looking at this girl is a perfect reminder of why we put so much emphasis on the ewe side of the pedigree. Bucks can make a tremendous impact, but a powerful, proven ewe family is what gives you something to build around generation after generation. This one has certainly done that for us.

We couldn’t be more proud of what you accomplished. We love putting good ones in your hands and then sitting back to see what you can make happen with them! Keep learning. Keep dialing them in. Keep pushing forward. You’re doing an awesome job, ma’am, and we’re excited to see where you take it from here!

Getting lambs into your hands ma’am is always something we look forward to because you have an incredible ability to take one from start to finish. From feeding and managing them at home, to getting them dialed in and show ready you bring out the absolute best in them. You sure had this Radioactive wether looking the part! Seeing him hit the ring looking as good as he possibly could is incredibly rewarding.

Also that is an accomplishment to earn Champion Senior Round Robin Showman! Round Robin is about so much more than knowing how to show your own species. You have to step outside your comfort zone, adapt, and prove that you’re a true livestock showman across multiple species. Walking away with that speaks volumes about your ability as a stockman and competitor.

Congratulations, Lake!! You sure are one heck of a showman, and we couldn’t be more proud to have gotten this beautiful ewe lamb into your hands. I love that you had that gut feeling early on and stood behind this girl the whole way.

What started as a show project clearly turned into something much more. This ewe became a best friend, a teammate, and a huge part of your season. Those bonds between showmen and their projects are some of the most special parts of this industry, and we absolutely love getting to watch them grow.

And you didn’t just have her looking the part, your showmanship was on point! Walking away as Champion Junior Sheep Showman says a lot about the time, effort, and passion you’ve put into your project.

One of my favorite parts of this season has been getting all the updates, pictures, and videos along the way. Seeing the progress, the fun, and the relationship you built with this ewe is exactly why we love what we do and why we’re so thankful for the families we get the opportunity to work with.

Nice job, Taytum!! You showed up with your ewe and walked away with the title of: Reserve Champion Yearling Ewe But what makes this story even cooler is everything that came along with it. You trusted us with the opportunity to breed your beloved ewe last year, got her settled, raised that offspring, and then had the opportunity to bring that lamb back and show her at county fair this year as well! How cool is that?! That’s something to be incredibly proud of.

This year you also stepped into the market lamb ring for the very first time with one really neat Alamo wether and took him all the way to the Final Drive!

One of the coolest parts has been watching your growth, confidence in the ring, your ability to manage your projects, and your skills as a showman continue to improve. This yearling is pretty special because she’s actually the result of an outside breeding opportunity! Carrie trusted us enough to bring her ewes to our farm and expose them to the bucks we were utilizing that year. For this particular mating, we chose 55 a BlackTop son (Top Notch son) and wow, did he ever click with her ewe! Seeing that breeding come full circle and end up as Supreme Female makes it that much more rewarding.

But Carrie wasn’t finished…

This spring ewe has a pretty cool story of her own, but we’ll save some of those details for another day. What we will say is that Carrie did an absolutely phenomenal job with her! Alamo x Camo was a combination we were excited about from the beginning, and watching this ewe mature into what we expected from that mating made it even sweeter.

Carrie, you showed up and showed out! From the quality of the animals you brought to the ring to your performance on the drive, you had one heck of a fair. We’re always excited to get lambs into your hands because we know you’re going to put in the work and give them every opportunity to succeed. Keep up the amazing work.
