I’m proud to say Kitehawk Farm Certified Organic Arbequina olive oil received a Bronze medal in the competitive Central Coast Olive Oil Competition 2024! This year brought in many quality oils with over 59 producers and 123 oils entered and the competition featured 28 different classes based on varietal. Esteemed judge Paul Vossen was the chief judge and two other judges. Points from each judges critique added up for placements. Kitehawk received Bronze in Arbequina Robust.

I’ve had a lot of messages about olive harvest for olive oil…after inspection tonight with our friends we will harvest Wed(if it’s not raining hard) or end of week if it is. That means the new oil will be ready to shop early next week. I’ll post updates here.

KITEHAWK OLIO NUOVO was harvested on December 11, 2021. This single varietal Arbequina is bottled fresh, immediately after harvest. Its high polyphenol content, coupled with its unique freshness, gives you an olive oil with an intense, fresh, green grass, spicy flavor profile.

This is a limited quantity, once a year production and this year our entire harvest was very small and we anticipate that all of this harvest will be sold out as OLIO NUOVO. When it's gone, it's gone.

Due to an increase in all of our costs, from shipping, bottling supplies and packaging materials our prices have gone up slightly for the first time.
