Foxglove has medicinal uses, but is also very toxic to humans and other mammals, such that consumption can cause illness and death. I planted this after watching Outlander.
Calendula is sooo prolific and can be eaten, brewed, or made into ointments and bathsalt combos.
I traded something for the great great great grandmother of this plant and have never had to replant it ever again.

A potato box in one (long) day! This thing can hold about 100 potatoes at a time if our math is correct. Took four pallets apart, re-structured them, then lined it with tight gopher wire. Next we cleaned out both coops for the first layer, four wheel barrows of dirt for the second layer, potato starts I had in pots, then straw and soil on top. Next week I’ll do another soil and straw layer, along with some cut out potato ‘eyes’ and layer again. Then just water wait!
We’ve been eating about three potatoes a week from the pots I have going, so estimating about 20 a week once it’s fully loaded. 🥔

This is when the complacency zone starts. Today’s harvest after filling the farm stand- so much summer in one pic. There were also some flowers and little pumpkins, but in three weeks or so most of these plants will putter out. This is why we must take the time to make the sauce, keep up the dehydrating, freezing, canning etc. probably going to cheat and buy some fall starts until the air gets crisp and u get motivated to plant some fall seedlings.
