A lot of our friends ask why we do this and those of you with livestock will understand. This picture is a prime example of the thrill of raising livestock. When the mother of one of your favorite January ewe lambs weans the January lamb and breeds back and has a set of twin ewe lambs like this 8 months later it makes the long days and nights all worthwhile. Fall lambing is now underway and we are looking forward to more moments like this.

MacCauley 6751 was just named People’s Choice Champion Ewe at the Suffolk Event in Lebanon, Indiana. She leads off the sale tomorrow at 11:30am Eastern and can be watched at wlivestock.com.
