Our girls love sprinklers too! 😍 🚿

When the temperature gets above 65 degrees cows begin to get heat stressed. So in order to keep them cool we not only use fans but we also use sprinklers. Even cooler these sprinklers utilize smart technology controls to function so we can control water usage by only sprinkling cows directly under the sprinkler heads.

It’s dawn to dusk season as we make second crop hay and take off new seedings. As they say “ya gotta make hay when the sun shines!”

🌾1,500 acres this week of new seeding and heifer hay
🌾1,300 acres of 2nd crop last week of dairy hay

Thank you to everyone who joined us, to all of our incredible volunteers, to Partnership for Progressive Agriculture for coordinating the event and to our amazing team who helped prepare for the event.

Welcome to Miltrim Farms FB page! This is our daily adventure in 'Modern Agriculture’. Our dedicated team has a passion for agriculture, the animals, healthy soil & clean water. Our farms operation produces a high quality dairy product by providing a safe & positive environment for our neighbors, employees & their families; maintaining a comfortable, safe & healthy environment for our cattle; engaging in a ‘regenerative’ style approach to growing high quality feed for our cattle while continuing to lower & work to eliminate our carbon footprint.

Our team is always and exploring new ideas, challenging the status quo, and using new technology to continue improve every aspect of the farm.
