All power has been restored to the area.

The outage was caused when a truck snagged a communication line near the entrance to the park, which resulted in damage to the power system.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while our crews worked to make the necessary repairs and restore service as quickly and safely as possible!

🚨 LARGE POWER OUTAGE IN THE ATHENS AREA 🚨

We are currently experiencing a large power outage affecting a significant portion of the Athens area, including many businesses from the Athens Regional Park area toward the interstate. This also includes Wal-Mart and the surrounding apartments.

Crews are en route now to determine the cause of the outage and make the necessary repairs. We understand this is impacting many of our customers and businesses, and our crews will work to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.
