To say the least the last few weeks have been super busy! Some days I wonder why in the world do I do all this but then I sit back and watch the sun go down and feel it deep in my bones….. this is the life for me💕 Happy Easter to all and let’s all enjoy the new growth that sprouts with spring.

Wonderful weekend here on Dandy Hill, could have called it windy hill yesterday but still beautiful.
Wild child finally released the hostages Friday night and all are doing good. Healthy little buckling and doeling. I am surprised by both being black. Smoke (aka baby daddy) usually throws some real colorful babies. None the less, they are cute and I can already see mommas personality in the little girl.
Now the real fun begins!! Baby days and milk stand time with mommas💕💕

Totally overdue for an update on kidding season 2026. One week ago Annie started the fun with a single doeling (aka chocolate) The Zitt family rolled up the hill for baby time and much needed help with some projects. I am so thankful to be blessed with this family. The kids played, we worked and on Sunday Princess gave me a beautiful set of triplets ( Batman, Robin and Chip) Bailey loves giving the new babies nicknames and Weston was here for his 1st kidding at goat Mimi’s.
Mother Nature decided to flip the big bird and the wonderful temps plummeted. Babies struggled and ended up All getting moved inside. I have had a baby or 2 in the house before but never my entire living room turned into a nursery. Princess retained her placenta and I am still working to help her recover.If you know me you know I kinda lose my mind when anyone gets down around here.
Next was miss Maggie on Saint Patrick’s day with a beautiful big buckling(aka Hoss) she did an amazing job for a 1st time momma and with her introduction to being a dairy goat here.
Luckily the weather decided to be show mercy and I am starting to get everything settled to somewhat normal. One more momma to go (wildchild) and it will be a wrap for babies this year. Many more pictures to follow as these cuties grow. 💕💕

1st baby of the season is a cute little girl from Annie💕 she is getting a ton of love, especially since she has no competition for attention
Annie is a first freshener (1st time momma) and taking great to the new world of getting on the milk stand. I love getting to introduce them to the next chapter of being a dairy goat!

Last night I was reminded how important it is to call on friends when you can’t get it done on your own. Ginger had some complications kidding and to be completely honest I panicked. I didn’t trust myself and struggled when feeling around inside to see what the problem was.Thankfully I had a bunch of support and my good friend Sunny came out with the confidence to go in, figure it out and get babies moved around. The 1st doeling was sideways and had the whole process blocked. Sadly she didnt make it but the other little buckling and doeling are doing good. I am thankful that Ginger is recovering well. She was a real trooper for all that it took to deliver these babies.
Some days I wonder if I’m cut out for this “goat thing”, I am reminding myself today that with this “goat thing” you gotta take each struggle and grow to make the cut.

I love watching them grow and become beautiful dairy goats.
