This squash planting is freaking beauuuuutiful yall. Can’t get over how much the plants are thriving and not a squash bug in sight! (Knock on wood why don’t ya) And we are harvesting some amazing food out of this field too. Better yet this week has been ever so slightly less brutally hot and it is breathing life into us (who knew 3 degrees could feel so different??). If you want to celebrate everything that’s good, come grab a b**r with us at Creature Comforts Athens tonight from 5-8pm and maybe pick up some veggies and flowers while you’re at it :~)))))

ITS FINALLY TIME! We’ve been waiting months, harvesting greens, and patiently waiting for this year’s crop of sweet potatoes to be ready. This has been the most beautiful planting we dang near have ever had, and after digging up a test batch of sweet potatoes last week, we’ve been unearthing them by the bed in the hot hot heat these past few days. They’re looking stunning and tasting even better!!! We’ve got your classic orange sweet potatoes AND purple for the colorful folks out there :-)

We’ll have these at all of our markets this weekend! Our full market harvest is on slide 2. Happy to have a bit more cucumbers and summer squash too this weekend :-) and zinnias and cosmos galore!

HELLO SOY BEANS!!! First harvest of this beautiful edamame planting is headed to Creature Comforts Athens TONIGHT from 5–8pm!!

We’ve been intently watching these beauties grow, waiting very (im)patiently for the day they’d finally be ready to harvest… and TODAY WAS THAT FREAKING DAY!!!

Packed with protein and all nine essential amino acids, soybeans are one of the relatively rare COMPLETE PROTEINS of the plant world. Vegans rejoice!!! We nibbled on a raw bean or two in the field and they were phenomenal.

We grew two beds this year as kind of a little experiment / passion project, so if you want us to keep growin’ em, come pick some up at our markets, comment here to tell us how much u love em, or show us some soybean love in whatever other ways you can dream up :-)

We’re trucking right along with our summer florals! The dahlias continue to amaze us with how generous they’ve been with their blooms, the sunflowers are all stunners, and cockscomb celosia bringing that pop of color and texture❣️ Swipe thru for a hit parade of what you’ll be seeing at market this weekend!!

Okay since the internet likes EGGS so much why not try a little egg-PLANT ?? (this joke on it makes sense if you’ve seen our egg video that went viral and you better believe we are riding that Meta-facilitated-dopamine high and laughing about it into the sunset ).

But I digress ~ we have a zillion of the cutest little eggplants you ever did see. So cute they get a special little name: ✨🧚🏻 fairytale 🧚🏻 eggplant 🧚🏻✨

They make an amazing side dish cut in half and seared in a pan and sprinkled with a lil bit of flakey salt ~ or slice and dice them for an eggplant curry (!). Just a little poking around on the internet reveals a ton of food blogs that go wild over these little treasures and there’s just as many ideas on how to put em on your plate. Bring them home tonight from our market booth at Creature Comforts Athens ! We’re set up 5-8pm :-)

WE GOT THA LONGEST BEANS IN THA GAME!!!! Noodle beans aka yard long beans aka Asian long beans aka best most fun beans ever are great for soups, stir fries, roastin’, or cookin any way your heart is so inspired. Keep em long or chop em small, we don’t mind 😌

These beans are so fun and they only come around once a year, so if you know em and love em come n get em! And if you’ve never heard of these beauties, go out on a noodle and give em a try :~) Our full market harvest is on slide 2!

Nothin like harvesting some fresh, fragrant basil first thing in the morning before that old sun heats up. Except maybe cooking yourself a delish din with some fresh, fragrant basil as the sun sets and your day winds down. We hesitate to claim perfection on anything (the hubris!), but this basil is dang near perfection. Come n get in on a sweet smelling herbaceous bunch of heaven at Creature Comforts Athens tonight from 5-8pm ❤️🌿

Despite it being literally ten thousand degrees out today with two hundred percent humidity, we harvested some incredibly beautiful and delicious arugula that’s headed to market this weekend. We’re stoked to have some salad greens back in the mix ~ and the summer heat gives them an extra spicy kick!

We know that a picture of arugula isn’t that exciting (even tho we’re very excited), so if you swipe to the end we gave you some Frog Tax ❤️ 🐸

Slide 2 has your full list. Get there early! Not only is it gonna be hot as heck as the day stretches later, a good number of items are a bit light on inventory. Early birds get the figs!!!!
