UNPOPULAR OPINION ON THIS BEAUTIFUL SUNDAY... 😬

I think people have gotten so used to supporting big businesses that sometimes we forget just how much our little local businesses depend on the community.

Now before somebody gets their feelings hurt, hear me out. 😂

When you spend $7 at a big chain, you're just another transaction. When you spend $7 with a small family business, we remember your face, your favorite drink, and sometimes even what kind of day you're having.

Heck, some of y'all walk up to our window and we already know what you're ordering before you open your mouth. 🤣

And don't get me wrong, we're not saying you shouldn't visit the big guys. There's room for everybody! But that little food truck, boutique, coffee shop, or family-owned restaurant down the road? They're somebody's dream. Somebody's long nights, missed weekends, and a whole lot of hoping this crazy idea actually works.

And here's something else... support doesn't always mean spending money. A share, a comment, a recommendation to a friend... those things matter more than you realize.

So here's my Sunday question, and I REALLY want to hear your thoughts:

Do you think people genuinely care about shopping local anymore, or has convenience completely taken over? 👀

No wrong answers. Well... maybe a few. 🤣🤣

Anyway, enough of my Sunday soapbox.

ATHENS… Y’ALL DID IT AGAIN!! 🧋❤️😂

I was going to take a picture of the line at the Cain Center YMCA Fall Fest today, but apparently y’all had other plans for me! 🤣

Every time I thought I might get a second to grab my phone, somebody else walked up wanting a drink. And you know what? THAT is a problem I will NEVER complain about! 😂🙌

Huge shoutout to the TVCC Softball girls for stopping by and showing us some love BEFORE the crowd rolled in! 🥎❤️ Y’all had perfect timing because after that… it was GAME ON! 😂

And a big thank you to our friends at Pucker Up Lemon Cup and The HotDog Guys & More for snapping this picture! Apparently, they had more time to take pictures than we did. 🤣🤣

Seriously, Athens… THANK YOU! Every single time we roll into your town, y’all remind us why we love doing what we do. Whether you're a regular, a first-timer, or somebody who just wanted to see what all this boba fuss is about, we appreciate every single one of you! ❤️

Your friendly reminder that we will be set up outside Stage Notes Academy of Performing Arts tonight for their performance of Young Frankenstein.

We will be there from about 5pm to around 9pm. We are open to the public, so you don't have to have a ticket to the show to get a delicious beverage.

You should totally catch the show if you are able to though!

WE JUST TURNED MY CHILDHOOD INTO BOBA… AND I HAVE ZERO REGRETS!

Growing up, Halloween was serious business. We'd walk 47 miles, knock on 300 doors, and risk our lives dodging mosquitoes just to come home with a pillowcase full of candy. 😂

And let me tell you… TWO candies always made my night.

🌈 SKITTLES – Because apparently eating an entire rainbow in one sitting was perfectly acceptable parenting in the 90s. 🤣

🍫🥥 MOUNDS BAR – Now before y'all start judging me… YES, I was that weird kid who actually LOVED coconut and chocolate! Don't come for me. 😂

Well, here we are years later, and I've officially combined my childhood candy obsession with my adult boba obsession.

🚨 IT’S WALMART WEDNESDAY! 🚨

Which means sometime around 2 PM, the Cloud Cup trailer will roll into Gun Barrel City Walmart carrying a completely unreasonable amount of tea, sugar, caffeine, and tiny chewy balls. 🧋😂

We’ll be there until the fresh tapioca pearls are SOLD OUT.

Based on recent history, that could mean 8 PM… or approximately 17 minutes after we open. Y’all have absolutely ZERO chill when it comes to fresh boba. 😆

🍂 NOW FOR IMPORTANT BUSINESS…

Around Halloween, we’re rolling out some fall favorites, but we need to know what kind of fall people y’all are.

Do you want:

🧋 Fall Milk Teas — basically autumn in a cup
🍓 Fall Refreshers — because Texas may still be 94 degrees in October
☕ Fall Iced Coffees — for those of us surviving entirely on caffeine and poor decisions

Meanwhile, I’m over here making drinks, taking orders, restocking straws, wiping counters, questioning my life choices… and my highly trained staff is apparently handling the social media department. 😂

In their defense, they did show up… and sometimes that’s about all you can ask for with teenagers. 🤣

But seriously, we wouldn’t trade our little family crew for anything. ❤️🧋
