Spiral Witch Hat from a tomato cage!🧙🏻‍♀️

The tomato cage was a lot more secure this time around. Repurposing an old baseball hat also made this witch hat more robust overall.

I wanted to do something a little different so I decided on a spiral.

What do you think??

Dahlia seeds are so unpredictable.

I looooove this first year seedling. 😍😍 I hope she makes great tubers.

Dahlia comparison

River Merle Farm’s RM Raspberry Twinkle
MFF Nectarine Peel
Kristine Albrecht - Dahlias ’s KA Mocha Katie

They all have somewhat similar characteristics. Their colors for you might not be the same as mine due to climate and other conditions. The changing season also influences size and color

Which one would you pick if you could only grow one?

How many lisianthus seeds do you think are in ONE scoop, per side? 👀

These seeds are TINY, so before I start pulling orders, I count how many are in a scoop. Once I know my average, I can repeat the same scoop for each packet instead of counting hundreds of microscopic seeds one by one. 😂

This batch is my Garden Surprise lisianthus-seed I saved from flowers grown right here at Murtha Flower Farm. And the best part is you truly don’t know what colors or forms you’re going to get. 🌸

If you want to grow some surprises of your own, packets are available on my website now! Each one contains ~100 unpelleted seeds (with excess!), and they’re a much more affordable way to try growing lisianthus from seed.

How many seeds do you think are in each side of the scoop?

Shipping now to the continental US! *winners for guessing the number is also only for continental US participants.
