Made some corn dogs for our snack this afternoon, which was inspired by a post I read from The Pioneer Woman - Ree Drummondecently. Aside from the fact that I like corn dogs, the recipe particularly intrigued me because it uses ready made pancake mix. Since I make my pancakes from scratch these days, I was happy to try and use up some old Bisquick sitting in the cupboards. Verdict -- Not bad, though I would add sugar, honey and pinch of salt than the original calls for. It has inspired me to experiment and find the perfect batter...though not too often, because that's a lot of frying!

Happy New Year! Hope you all are off to making amazing dishes so far this year. Myself, I started off slow because I was sick but have been cooking up a storm. Coming soon, recipes for sweet potato waffles, vegetarian shepherd's pie and a look at some favorite soups for these cold winter days! (like the one below!)
