You gotta do what ya gotta do. Babies, Ikaika and Kupa’a, got round the clock supplemented feedings, baths, and blow drying. They are finally up and walking, talking, eating, and swimming. The flock will take a day or so to welcome them back, but they made it! I couldn’t be happier and they will continue their lives on this farm.

It’s been a really rough week. I have raised animals for multiple decades and have never lost an entire batch of ducklings. Out of eleven ducklings I only have two left and and it’s touch and go. Every other animal on the farm is doing well. It’s just my ducklings. I’m devastated beyond words and if you don’t raise your own animals it’s truly hard to describe how heartbroken I am. I can only try to nurse the two babies I have left, but the damage may have already been done. It’s possible they ingested a toxin or they haven’t been receiving enough niacin. It’s a guessing game from here. I’ve done what I can, it’s just a waiting game at this point.

10 quail eggs and 20 chicken eggs in the incubator. 3 geese on approximately ~14 eggs! Seems I have three geese and one gander!
