Raising animals is not the easiest. Losses and gain come with the lifestyle. A month and a half ago, one of our mommas Daisy had three kids, but by day two, only one was thriving, and by day four, she had lost one. Yesterday, Fawn went into labor around 7:00PM, had her first kid within a few minutes, but had a stillborn afterwards. Like most good moms, she tried to nuzzle and clean her second baby, but it was already gone, probably happening the day before or earlier in the morning. She is ok now, and her little buckling is active, and starting to move more, but it’s still sad to have to deal with those losses. I am always grateful to have happy and healthy kiddos, and with this, we have three this season. Happy spring everyone!
