Look who's back!!

Our 2020 Giovina is an approachable yet serious red with true Italian flair. Medium-bodied with cherry notes and an earthy kick, it’s one of Italy’s classic food wines sporting food-friendly freshness and structure. Giovina complements the tanginess of tomato-based sauces and balances the richness of hearty meat dishes and salty cheeses with its taut tannins. This is the kind of red that makes Italians smile!

Perfect pairings: Cheez-It® crackers (white cheddar version is best!) or black olives in a can.

Good Stuff, Fun Facts:
This year’s wine was harvested from vineyards located in southeastern Abruzzo. Surrounded by olive groves and native forest, the region sits between the gorgeous Adriatic coast and the western slopes of the highest mountains on the Italian peninsula. Our newest grower founded in 1964, has been certified biodynamic from Demeter in 2003 with about 1/3 of the grapes being biodynamic, the balance all organic. All grapes are certified vegan.

Meet Zapatazo, a Torrontés from Argentina! 12.7% alcohol

Torrontés is the signature white grape of Argentina and is best known for its perfumy slightly tropical aromas. Generally light-bodied and crisp, it is sometimes viewed as Argentina’s version of Pinot Grigio. Yet, because of the lack of name recognition, Torrontés has an even stronger price/value ratio than Pinot Grigio. Torrontés also shows primary flavors that tend towards stone fruits, rather than the melon flavors of Pinot Grigio.

Santoreggia - Sangiovese from Italy

This elegant Italian Sangiovese is a medium-bodied beauty that’s so vibrant it’s almost dancing on the palate. Aromas are red berry and floral with appealing earthy undertones. Hailing from the southern Italian region of Puglia, this is a wine that will appeal to lovers of zesty reds.

Perfect pairing: dark chocolate covered cherries, parmesan cheese crumbles.

Pluma Oscura - Cabernet Sauvignon from Argentina

A Cabernet with class, Pluma Oscura is passion in a glass! A succulently, southern New World wine married with elegant, Old World style. The affordability of Argentine Cabernet Sauvignon is one of its appealing qualities, along with crowd-pleasing drinkability. Paired alongside dishes from rustic roasted rosemary chicken to slow-cooked beef and even red-sauced fish stew, this is a versatile red ideal for the dinner table.

Perfect pairing: Individually wrapped cheese squares (white cheddar, hunks of parmesan or mozzarella cheese sticks), dark chocolate squares.

Technically my Wineaversary is February 29th, but today is the day my sign up was completed 2 years ago. Just before the world shut down. You'd think my business would've failed, but here it is still thriving and growing with each day.
I may not be able to keep my plants alive but this business continues to grow because of the love and support from you all. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
With the world getting back to "normal" I'm hoping to share wine one day in the near future with each of you whether it be in person, virtual, or online.
