checking in, sistahs and friends.
i don’t know about y’all, but this has been a heavy few days. it’s insane that we need laws and constitutional precedents to grant us a human right such as bodily autonomy. for Black and Brown girls, women, and LGBTQIA+ folks in particular, this is a scary time. a scary place. i know that our ancestors wanted more for us, and that they dreamt of the kind of freedom that we, their progeny, would enjoy.
how are y’all doing? how are you taking care of yourselves? what do freedom and bodily autonomy mean to you?
this is a genuine check-in for folks who are most vulnerable in this post-Roe context. as such, i welcome thoughtful, respectful engagement. anything otherwise will be deleted and users will be blocked.

just in time for summer, Our Mother’s Gardens is here!
this coffee will take you on a journey. when i first tasted it, it evoked childhood memories of easy summer afternoons in Texas. it's fruity, and dripping in floral and honey notes. the tea-like mouthfeel makes me feel like drinking it with my pinky up. it’s perfect for an iced pourover. i look forward to sipping it on my porch, slowly taking in my summer reading list, which includes a re-read of the iconic book, _In Search of Our Mother’s Gardens: Womanist Prose_ by Alice Walker. 💜
thank you to and for continuing to roll with me! and thank you to for sharing this with the world at the historic inaugural symposium this past weekend! it makes me so happy to hear that y’all loved it!
to learn more about the coffee, the producer, and the iconic book that inspired it, click the link in my bio! pre-orders are open, and shipping will begin on June 1. y'all are going to love it!
