Howl y’all are having a blessed day

Come take a little sneak behind the farm door because what a week it's been. Busy, busy, busy... then just for fun, extra busy sprinkled on top like farmyard confetti.

The lambs are now all settled into the new farm. Around 200 lambs moved over which was a full day of graft, chaos, straw in places straw should never be and enough steps walked to rival a marathon. Tiny sheep, massive operation.

The cows have arrived too and if you've been keeping up with the farm updates you'll have seen the newest arrivals stomping onto the scene. The fields feel very full and very alive again.

And the goat experiences officially started yesterday. Safe to say the goats have absolutely loved their audience. Plenty of laughs, cuddles and happy faces all round. One lovely visitor even said,
"This has been the best thing I've ever done in my life," which honestly melted us a little.

The tiny hoofed chaos crew worked their magic once again and yes... Biscoff definitely soaked up the attention like a furry celebrity on tour.

"Come to me leaves... bow down to my cuteness and feed my belly."🌿🐐

Yep, the beech trees are finally opening their leaves and the goats have noticed immediately.

Suddenly every branch within a three mile radius is being eyed up like an all you can eat buffet.

They're stretching, climbing, balancing and generally risking their dignity for a mouthful of fresh leaves with the enthusiasm of a champion competitive eater at the finals.

Nature says "spring has arrived"... the goats hear "snack season is now open."

Well, that's another week done and flown by. As always, we're left wondering how it's the weekend already!

It's been a quieter week for goat experiences, with only three days running, but we've still met lots of lovely people. The goats have certainly enjoyed making the most of the sunshine and spending plenty of time chilling out.

What else have we been up to?

Well, it's been kitchen planning time for the new farm because we're finally under offer, so suddenly it's a case of "we'd better start making some decisions!"

Then came the small task of weighing every lamb. Yep, all 200 of them. We also vaccinated 150 lambs, making for a very full but incredibly satisfying day. We track every lamb's weight, and it's been amazing to see how well they're growing.

We've also said goodbye to three more goats as they headed off to their new homes. With another ten due to leave next week, things are about to get a little quieter... or at least a little less frantic!

We even managed a few hours off this weekend, squeezing in and managing our visitors.

Sometimes a little switch-off is exactly what's needed.

Next week brings the annual haircut for our hundred-and-something ewes. That means shearing day, which always comes with a healthy dose of stress! Sam will also be busy keeping all the shearers and helpers fed and watered.

And of course, there'll be plenty more goat experiences too.

Availability Update 1

We've been so busy this week that I haven't had chance to post an availability update, so here it is!
# Friday: We still have some availability.

** Saturday (10am): l've opened up a last-minute session and there are just 4 places left if anyone fancies some goat cuddles to start their weekend.

Next week is looking similar, with availability during the week, but the weekend is fully booked unless we have any unexpected cancellations.

If you'd like to come and meet our ever-growing herd of cheeky pygmy goats, you'll get the chance to feed them, brush them, cuddle them, and generally spend time surrounded by goats. Not a bad way to spend a morning! *

And don't worry if the British weather decides not to cooperate, we have indoor areas too, so the goats can still charm their way into your heart.

Yep... goat kids!😂

They're not much different to human kids. At Christmas, children often end up playing with the big cardboard box instead of the expensive toy. Well, goat kids are exactly the same!

Who needs a fancy climbing frame when you've got an empty mineral bucket?

Just ask Avocado. Give him a bucket to climb on, hide in, and generally cause chaos with, and he's one very happy little goat.

Sometimes it's the simplest things that bring the biggest entertainment!

Well, that's the last of the Breakfast Club heading off to their new home in Atlanta. ❤️

They're joining a wonderful care home with a whole menagerie of animals that truly believes in the power of animal therapy, just as we do.

They'll be reunited with ten of our goats from last year, so there'll be plenty of familiar faces, cousins, brothers and sisters waiting to welcome them.
We have absolutely no doubt they're going to be loved and spoiled every single day.

People often ask how we choose where our goats go, and the answer is simple. They're family. We take the responsibility seriously and make sure every home shares our values and can give them the very best life. Seeing them head somewhere this special makes saying goodbye that little bit easier.❤️

I often get asked if any of the goats need a little extra care or have any special requirements.

Welcome to Fladda Livestock Ltd * /
First up is Heather, our wonderful 15 year old. With plenty of missing teeth these days, she gets a few extra treats and softer food to help keep her in tip-top condition.

Then we have the Four Amigos...
: Daisy, the face of the farm and, quite frankly, a complete princess. She fully expects VIP treatment.

Tulip struggles with the hustle and bustle of feeding time, so she does much better eating alongside her little group where there's no pressure.

Cookie and her daughter Edith are probably the most analytical goats you'll ever meet. Every single thing has to be inspected, considered and thought through. Even deciding whether to walk through a gate seems to involve a full committee meeting before they make their move!

Every goat is different, and getting to know their little quirks is one of the best parts of caring for them. ❤️🐐

Little Miss Crunchy is always getting comments about her horns... and we can see why!

Yes, they really are two completely different colours. One is dark and the other is white, making her one of the most unique goats on the farm.

We're not entirely sure why it happened. There is a possibility that her white horn could be a little weaker and may even snap at some point in her lifetime, but for now it's absolutely fine and doesn't bother her in the slightest.

We just think it makes Crunchy even more special. After everything she's been through, she's proof that being a little different is something worth celebrating.❤️
