You will be missed Momma Mel! Thank you for your friendship!
Hey friends, this is Momma Mel’s daughter, Callie. This is something I never imagined I would have to write.
On April 1, my sweet mom went to sleep, and woke up with her Jesus. It was so unexpected. We are heartbroken, and lost as to what our next steps are. But my family wanted to say something to you all before this Sunday’s video didn’t appear.
You were truly my mom’s friends. So many of her frequent commenters, she knew by name and story. Every prayer request, she truly took to the Lord. Every kind and encouraging word meant the world to her and lifted her up. She shared so many stories with us of viewers who turned to her videos for comfort in difficult times, who turned them on as background noise for their babies to sleep, and how much it meant to her to be a help to those who needed it.
This channel documents so much of my mom, and will be a comfort to us in the months and years to come. My granny and I are both so thankful to have videos of us cooking and laughing together. We had joked in the past that it would be that comfort for us when we are all old, but I never could have imagined it would be so soon.
The most important thing that I know my mom would want to share with you all is that we know where she is, and we know Who she is with. And my mom would want to share her Jesus with each and every one of you. I know that she is looking into the face of our Lord, and that she is the happiest that she ever has been.
We don’t know yet about next steps for the channel. Her videos will ALWAYS be here for us to watch. She has so many hours of footage and light hearted moments that never made it into videos, and as we heal we may be able to share some of those with you.
We loved her so much, and she loved all of us and all of you. Please be thinking of us and praying for us as we navigate this new and unexpected time.
