Story time today ... i visited Shelby Farms community garden in Memphis, TN recently and got some great ideas as well as heard a motivating story. The older gentleman we met had lost 42 lbs just by working his free garden plot. If you look at the map they are almost all in use. So many veggies and flowers on each plot. It's taken me a while to understand why growing veggies is so different in Pensacola from other parts of the country. It's the nighttime temps that are the problem for traditional spring summer veggies. Once you understand you can adjust your growing schedules, variety and strategy.
