Nicholas lost 16.7 pounds. But there’s one number we’re watching even more closely.
Since his last InBody scan just under four months ago, Nicholas has:
🔥 Lost 16.7 lbs of body weight
🔥 Lost 11.2 lbs of body fat
📉 Lowered his body fat percentage by 2.7%
💪 Lost 3.1 lbs of skeletal muscle
First things first: Nicholas is doing a great job.
Losing more than 11 pounds of body fat is meaningful progress.
But at Max Muscle, we don’t cherry-pick the numbers we like and ignore the ones we don’t.
The 3.1 pounds of skeletal muscle matters too.
And that gives us the next coaching priority:
Keep reducing body fat while doing a better job protecting muscle.
Here’s why this matters.
When you lose a significant amount of weight, some lean tissue can come with it—especially if your body isn’t getting enough resistance-training stimulus, protein, total nutrition, or recovery.
For people using GLP-1s, there’s another consideration: a lower appetite can make it easier to accidentally under-eat—not just calories, but also protein and other nutrients your body needs.
In other words, “I’m not hungry” and “I’m properly fueled” are not always the same thing.
Your muscle deserves a seat at the table too. 😄
Why protect it?
Because skeletal muscle helps support your strength, physical function, training performance, and long-term ability to stay active.
So if fat loss is the goal, don’t make your only goal:
“Make the scale go down.”
A better strategy is:
✅ Resistance train consistently
✅ Make adequate protein a priority
✅ Avoid unnecessarily aggressive under-eating
✅ Hydrate and recover well
✅ Track your strength and performance
✅ Recheck your body composition so you know what is actually changing
And that last one is exactly why Nicholas made a smart move by coming back to Max Muscle Sports Nutrition – Stone Mountain.
The bathroom scale has one job.
It tells you how much you weigh.
It cannot tell you whether those pounds came from body fat, muscle, or both.
Nicholas’s InBody scan did more than give him another number—it gave him information we can actually use to make better decisions moving forward.
That’s coaching. Not guessing.
Whether you’re losing weight with a GLP-1 or without one, come find out what your body is actually doing.
