🥩 What does grass-fed, grain-finished actually mean?

There’s a lot of confusion around these words, so let’s clear it up.

Our cattle spend their lives grazing on pasture, eating grass as the foundation of their diet. 🌱

As they near finishing, we introduce grain to help add marbling, flavor, and tenderness—giving you that rich steakhouse-style beef while still starting with cattle raised on pasture.

Grass-fed doesn’t always mean grass-finished.
And grain-finished doesn’t mean the cattle spent their whole lives in a feedlot.

Know your rancher. Know your beef. 🥩🇺🇸

Behind every cut of beef is a whole lot of work. 🥩

Today’s agenda: working cows.
Sorting. Checking. Moving. Handling.

Just another working day on the ranch—and a little glimpse into what goes on long before that beef ever reaches your freezer.

Know your rancher. Know your beef. 🤎

Rich, savory steak. Sweet roasted peppers. Caramelized onions. A little butter. A lot of seasoning.

Simple ingredients, cooked hot and fast, letting the beef do what it does best.

Earthy. Rustic. Straight from the ranch to your table.

That’s a Reynolds Ranch kind of dinner. 🤎

One of the questions we get all the time: “How long can I keep my beef?”

When properly vacuum-sealed and kept consistently frozen at 0°F or below, beef can stay safe indefinitely—but quality is best when used within the recommended freezer-storage window.

And yes… that freezer full of beef is an investment. You want to know how to store it and make it last! 🙌🏼

We’re breaking down shelf life, storage, and what those dates really mean in this video.

Know your rancher. Know your beef.

That last cut of the season feeling. 🌾

I don’t know about y’all, but we are believers in the persimmons around here. And that spoon in there sure is making us extra thankful for all the hay we’ve been able to cut this year.

Despite the many breakdowns…

Tractor-wise and mentally.

But we made it. And we’re thankful.
