Sorry I've been away for so long. As you've probably noticed, things have slowed down here at Sweet Sassy Molassey bakeshop. Despite the pause in the bakeshop's operations, I was still busy baking. The most important kind of baking... a bun in the oven ;). Although I was still plenty busy, I had the chance to do a lot of thinking about my future, and it's time to officially announce that the bakeshop will be on hiatus indefinitely.
We would like to thank all of our customers, supporters, fans, suppliers and friends from our four years in operation. The bakeshop was a success in so very many ways with brisk orders, loyal customers and a great brand. However, with the birth of my second son I reached a point where I had to decide whether to pursue the bakeshop fully and commit to opening a storefront or to go on hiatus. Ultimately, opening a storefront just was not something that would work for me and my family at this time and neither was continuing on with the online bakeshop model.
After soul searching and prayer, I am completely at peace with this decision. It's difficult to say goodbye but I hope that someday in a different season of life we'll be able to bring it back bigger and better than ever. And I'll never stop being passionate about eating CLEAN foods made with better-for-you ingredients so if you still want to follow me on social media I may transition to posting about that. Thank you all so much for the support of my Bakeshop! It was a dream of mine since childhood to own a Bakeshop and I truly enjoyed pursuing my dream and learning tons along the way. I couldn't have done it without the support of my very bright husband and my little helper, my son Ansel. From now until we meet again, have a Sweet Sassy Molassey day!
