I can finally say it—Hendon House Studios is officially on the shelves at Apple Barrel in my hometown of Oxford, Alabama! 🏮📸

Porchlight Notes are original photography note cards, mounted and signed by hand. This first small-batch drop includes familiar Oxford landmarks, autumn color, vintage details, and a few scenes that simply felt worth keeping.

If you’re out shopping this weekend, stop by Apple Barrel, look for the Hendon House Studios display, and choose a little piece of home to send—or keep for yourself. Porchlight Notes are $6 each, and fresh seasonal and local collections are already taking shape.

Hello again. ❤️

I’ve been a little quiet here, but I certainly haven’t been idle. Behind the scenes, I’ve been rethinking, rebuilding, and returning to the kind of creative work that has always felt most like me—so this seems like a good time to reintroduce myself.

I’m Roxanne—an Oxford girl, photographer, storyteller, animal lover, reader, traveler, and lifelong collector of the little details that make a place feel like home.

Hendon House Studios is rooted in the Southern communities and family stories that shaped me. I photograph familiar roads, old buildings, changing seasons, front porches, lake shores, quiet corners, and the light that makes you stop for a moment.

Oxford is where that story begins, but it does not end there. My camera follows the places that stay with me—from Southern hometowns and college campuses to lake shores, city streets, and the destinations that become part of our lives.

Lately, I’ve been developing photography postcards, blank note cards, fine-art prints, and new place-inspired collections—and I’m so excited to begin sharing them with you.

Because a photograph can take you back.

I was going through an external hard drive today trying to find something, and it made me think about how quickly seasons of life pass… I mean you literally blink.
kids growing up. - This particular photo is of my great nephew. He is now a teenager 😵‍💫
What the heck… 🤦🏻‍♀️
dogs getting older.
families changing, growing, and sadly, missing some of their precious faces.
and how easy it is to let those moments slip by without ever really capturing them.

One of the best things is helping families create something they get to see every day in their home… and even pass down.
Not just photos that live on a phone or hard drive.
I’m opening a few portrait sessions over the next couple of weeks, and I’d love to create something meaningful for you if it’s been on your heart. 🧡 💛
