They are perfect for gifts and entertaining! Order at [email protected] My life completely changed when I was diagnosed with Leukemia in November 2012. I was your average 24 year old, planning a wedding and about to begin a new career as a nurse. My days quickly began to revolve around tests, doctors and how to keep busy during my treatments. Due to the nature of my cancer and its treatmen
t, I am not allowed to go out in many public places. I quickly had to pick up a few new hobbies and one of the things I have always enjoyed is baking. Cookie Bites began after I spent several weeks around the holidays baking goodies with my Mom. Christmas is my favorite time of year and also marks the appearance of my favorite cookies- my Mom's famous Oreo Balls. After sneaking to the fridge one night to grab one of the last Oreo Balls, I thought why not make other cookies bite sized? The idea for Team Coco's Cookie Bites was born. It began as a way for me to send little thank you gifts to everyone who had done so much for my family, but then people began to ask how they could order them. And how did "Team Coco" come about?? Since I was little there have only been two people who have called me Coco- my Mom and one of my best friends. Slowly over the years the name began to stick with a few other people, including my fiance, but I never considered it my nickname. That all changed in November. After my initial diagnosis, we were told that I would spend about a month in the hospital for treatment and observation. I'm not sure who started it, but my room was quickly filled with cards, signs and neon posters saying "Go Team Coco". The nurses even began to call me Coco. After a few days, I stopped trying to correct them and accepted my new name. Team Coco are the hundreds of people who have said prayers, sent sweet words and showed an abundance of support over the past few months. You all are amazing and I don't know what I would do without you. Hope you enjoy Team Coco's Cookie Bites!! Love,
Coco
