My favorite slow cooker meal of all time. Mississippi Pot Roast. I’ve been using the same recipe for years, and it never disappoints. Super flavorful and takes all of 5 minutes to prep, if that.
For the first night I always pair the meat with mashed potatoes, which I cook myself. No boxed mashies round here. Then to repurpose the meal a couple of nights later, I will typically do a French dip type sandwich. It’s truly the meal that keeps on giving.
𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢 𝐏𝐨𝐭 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭
4lb Chuck Roast
1 packet ranch dressing/dip mix
1 packet au jus mix
1 stick butter
5-10 pepperoncini peppers
Put roast in crock pot. Sprinkle ranch mix and gravy mix on top. Add butter and place the peppers around it on top of the meat. Cook on low 8-10 hours.I actually turn my roast over mid way. I’ve noticed it shreds better for me that way, but it’s totally necessary.
