“EVERYONE. This man came into my yard a couple hours ago and offered to cut my grass for a certain price. I didn’t have enough money today to afford that on top of everything else, and I told him to come back in a week. A few minutes ago, I hear a loud noise outside of my house. I opened the door and noticed that he was cutting my grass. I went running out to him and yelled for him to stop... he shook his head no. He told me that he saw my kids playing in the yard and was worried about snakes being in the grass and biting them because the grass was too tall. I again told him to stop because I couldn’t pay him. He said that he didn’t need to be paid, he had grandchildren and that he hoped someone would look after them in the same way. I was brought to tears. I hugged him. We talked about different struggles we’ve had in life and he told me that this is what the news doesn’t report. He told me the news doesn’t report the black neighbor helping out the white neighbor because it isn’t good for the network to make money. I told him that he has a good heart. I told him I wish more people on earth were like him. We hugged again. He is still outside cutting my grass and it’s dark now. I am so grateful to have him as a new friend. His name is Johnny and he lives in Taylors, South Carolina. He cut my grass for free tonight because he was worried about my children playing outside in the tall grass. I hope he gets the recognition he deserves” Credit: Helen Bell

WHAT A GREAT PERSON…
After reading this, you just might agree with me. My short story…
I first met this person when they were an employee on a food truck. Taking orders and selling pastries to the public. Working like the every day person. Just like the rest of us. Seemed like a decent person, presenting that all important “friendly attitude”. Acting very nice. After seeing this person at several locations. I began to notice that they were rarely in their truck. They seemed more interested in socializing with all the other trucks instead. Taking a smooze wherever they could. Some Ftruckers liking it, some not so much. Ok…non of my business! After a while I ended up stepping into a big pile of that smooze. Totally bought into the illusion. WHAT A GREAT PERSON!?

When they asked if I would support them if they started finding events. I said absolutely! I didn’t realize it at the time. But this was my only value to this person. They needed my help.
“LOYALTY”, “SUPPORT ME”, “HELP ME GET STARTED“, “PROMOTE ME”, “PAY MY FEES NO MATTER WHAT, “NO REFUNDS”, “HELP ME GET MY BUSINESS STARTED”. Lots of us fell for that, didn’t we?? WHAT A GREAT PERSON?

A month ago my girlfriend and I were almost killed by a 22 year old while on our motorcycle. She was thrown 30 feet. BROKEN/FRACTURED:
FACE, SEVERE CONCUSSION, COLLARBONE, SHOULDER, RIBS, BOTH ARMS, PELVIS, TAILBONE, BOTH LEGS, ANKLE. SEVERE INTERNAL BLEEDING
ME: BROKEN/FRACTURED: FACE IN THREE PLACES, SEVERE BRAIN SWELLING, KNEES, WRISTS, LEG
No full body weight on legs until January. Confined to a walker/wheelchair

My membership was still withdrawn even when this person knew I was in the hospital. No empathy? No understanding? No conversation?... Got to pay for that traveling lifestyle!
WHAT A GREAT PERSON??? What are you thinking now? Here’s a look through the smoke screen! NO RETURN TEXT, NO EMAIL, NO PHONE CALL… ASKING “ARE YOU OK MY FRIEND?”
” WHAT CAN I/WE DO?”, ” WHAT HELP DO YOU NEED?“, “MAYBE WE CAN PUT A FUNDRAISER TOGETHER”. “WE CAN HELP YOU WITH THAT GOFUNDME” “HOPE YOUR OK”, “WE CAN SUSPEND MEMBERSHIP FEE” No time for even a phone call??? Seriously!!!???
This person sent me $100…. Appreciated for sure.

WHAT A GREAT PERSON??? IF YOU WERE ME…HOW WOULD YOU FEEL ??
BEEN SMOOZED ON? HOW MUCH?
WHAT’S YOUR VALUE?

$35 X 12= $420 X 150 TRKS= $63,000
No time to call, too busy with my great life…
Too busy to respond, trying to make more money to sustain this façade
Don’t really… really give a s**t!

I’VE BEEN A MEMBER OF THIS PARTICULAR FOODTRUCK ORGANIZATION FOR 10 YEARS…10 YEARS…10 YEARS!!!! WHAT A GREAT ORGANIZATION!? WHAT A GREAT PERSON?
WHAT A GREAT PERSON??? NOT SO FKG MUCH!!

With a heavy heart, I come asking for support for my father (John, The Filipino Food Truck) and his long term girlfriend, Ann. They were on his motorcycle taking a trip to the mountains to have a relaxing day, and upon their trip home were in a terrible, terrible accident. My father is EXTREMELY cautious and always aware of his surroundings (trust me, he has drilled this into my sisters and I), so while we have not been able to obtain the full police report yet, we are aware that it was the other person’s fault. A car pulled out in front of them, I’m sure without seeing them and they had NO time to stop. From the looks of the bike and the car at the salvage yard, my Dad tried to move out of the way but it was too sudden. They slammed into the side of the car hard and fast, my Dad has suffered multiple injuries including his face, leg/ankle, and potentially his arm. He is still in the hospital and will be for quite some time. He has already endured 3 surgeries, with more to follow. Ann, his long term girlfriend, was thrown over 30 feet from the bike and has suffered even more injuries, leaving almost no appendage unscathed. She has gone through 5 surgeries thus far, and they both have many more to go. They will be unable to work, and even make their house payments. I come humbly asking for any support that anyone is able to offer. We are not sure how they will be able to keep up with their everyday expenses, house payments, and food for themselves and their animals, all while trying to heal and recover from these extreme injuries. We are trying to get them through their lengthy hospital stays, and they will still have such a long, hard, and expensive road ahead of them. I truly can’t thank you enough for even reading this, and mine and Ann’s families would truly appreciate any help anyone can offer. Thank you for your help and your understanding. This will be a long road, but we’re hoping we can all get through it together.

Thank you so much my friends.

Best Regards,
The Lane Family
