Reminiscing about our Spitzmiller & Norris new home. The original home had this beautiful facade , however many difficulties with the existing home - low ceiling heights , foundation issues, etc. The house almost felt like a movie set facade - as the interior greatly fell short of the exterior facade.
We preserved the front facade entrance limestone to reuse for this wonderful new home. With the extra few feet of ceiling height we layered the brick courses and decorative stone elements.

Cooling off in Chattanooga, Tennessee!
This early 1900’s southern Bungalow, renovated by Spitzmiller & Norris ...is located in a historic neighborhood with stunning views of the mountains of Chattanooga.

We were proud to preserve this home to its original design intent and it now feels part of the historic neighborhood designed in that era.

This Colonial Revival stone and shingle new house was designed by Spitzmiller & Norris.
The exterior stone is a Schist stone from Pennsylvania.
We worked meticulously with the builder and landscape architect to make sure the stone had the proper look to feel as though the home had been there many years.
Lastly, we wanted to make sure the house did not overpower the lot, so scale was extremely important- as well as stepping the wings of the house back.

A timeless renovation by Spitzmiller & Norris.
This home was originally designed by Philip Trammell Shutze during the 1920’s and went through numerous renovations.
The front portico ( seen in last photo) was not original to the home and was removed to maintain the homes original splendor and give the interior of the home much needed light.
A new limestone portico was added, along with French doors out to a front terrace and dormers added at the third level.
The brick has a wash on the brick to add character and charm.
