Easy Skillet Recipes

Garlic Butter Steak Bites Skillet Recipe
Ingredients
- 1½ lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Serves: 4 | Cook Time: 15 minutes
How to Make: Pat the steak pieces dry with paper towels and season with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, then add the steak in a single layer, cooking in batches if necessary. Sear for 2–3 minutes per side until nicely browned, then transfer to a plate. Reduce the heat to medium, melt the butter in the same skillet, and add the minced garlic, stirring for 30–60 seconds until fragrant. Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss in the garlic butter for another minute until coated and cooked to your preferred doneness. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Creamy Tuscan Chicken Skillet Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1½ lb)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 2 cups fresh spinach
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Serves: 4 | Cook Time: 25–30 minutes
How to Make: Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden, then transfer to a plate. Add the minced garlic and cherry tomatoes to the skillet and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to loosen the browned bits, then add the Parmesan cheese and simmer gently until slightly thickened. Stir in the spinach until wilted, return the chicken to the skillet, and simmer for another 5–8 minutes until the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) and the sauce is creamy. Spoon the sauce over the chicken before serving.

Teriyaki Chicken & Broccoli Skillet Recipe
Ingredients
- 1½ lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- ⅓ cup teriyaki sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
- ¼ cup water
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
Serves: 4 | Cook Time: 20–25 minutes
How to Make: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken pieces for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for another 30 seconds until fragrant. In a bowl, whisk together the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey, water, and cornstarch until smooth. Add the broccoli to the skillet with 2 tablespoons of the sauce mixture, cover, and cook for 3–4 minutes until crisp-tender. Pour in the remaining sauce and stir everything together, simmering for another 2–3 minutes until the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) and the sauce becomes thick and glossy. Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over high heat and sear the sliced flank steak in batches for 1–2 minutes per side until browned, then remove from the skillet. Add the broccoli with 2 tablespoons of water, cover, and steam for 2–3 minutes until crisp-tender. Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant. Return the beef to the skillet, pour in the prepared sauce, and toss everything together for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli evenly. Serve hot over steamed rice.

On World Mental Health Day, I want to remind somebody that strength does not mean carrying everything in silence. Success does not make you immune to stress. Leadership does not make you exempt from exhaustion. Being the person everyone depends on does not mean you never need support yourself. I have learned that protecting your peace, checking in with yourself, setting boundaries, asking for help, and giving yourself permission to breathe are not signs of weakness. They are signs that you understand your life is worth taking care of.

We live in a world that often celebrates how much we can produce while ignoring what it may be costing us internally. I believe we have to change that conversation. Your mental health matters just as much as the goals you are chasing, the business you are building, the family you are providing for, and the people you are serving. You cannot keep pouring from a place that is empty and expect there to be no consequences.

Today, I encourage you to check on the people who always seem strong. Check on the ones who keep everybody laughing. Check on the leaders, the entrepreneurs, the caregivers, and the people who rarely ask for anything. Most importantly, check on yourself.

It is okay to not be okay. Give yourself permission to heal, rest, speak up, and seek support when you need it. Protecting your peace is not weakness. Taking care of your mind is part of your strength.

If this message reaches someone who needed it today, share it with them. Sometimes a simple reminder that somebody sees you can make more of a difference than we realize.

Happy Friday. I have learned that every week will not be perfect, but every week gives you something to carry forward. A lesson. A reminder. A reason to keep going. Sometimes progress looks like a major breakthrough, and sometimes it looks like simply refusing to quit.

As you close out this week, give yourself credit for what you handled, what you learned, and what you made it through. Do not let one hard moment make you forget how far you have already come. Rest if you need to. Reset if you have to. Just do not lose sight of the person you are becoming.

I believe success is built in those quiet decisions to keep showing up, keep believing, and keep moving with purpose. Take what this week taught you and carry the wisdom into the next one.

What is one thing this week taught you about yourself? Let’s talk about it in the comments.

Throwback Thursday. Do y’all remember this podcast? If not, go back and watch it.

I sat down on The Shift and shared a part of my story that still means a lot to me. The conversation was about the journey behind the title The Homeless Millionaire Chef, and what it really took to move from homelessness and hardship into entrepreneurship, leadership, and building a life I once could only imagine.

We talked about the shift that has to happen internally before anything changes externally. The mindset. The resilience. The willingness to keep moving when life does not look the way you thought it would. Success may be what people see now, but there was a whole lot of surviving, learning, rebuilding, and believing before anybody saw the results.

That is why I never want people to look at where I am today and think the road was easy. It was not. The journey is part of the testimony.

If you missed this conversation the first time, go back and watch it. If you have already seen it, watch it again with fresh eyes. You may hear something differently this time.

What is one shift you had to make in your own life that changed everything for you? Let’s talk about it in the comments.

Some rooms you walk into. Other rooms you have earned the right to stand in.

I have learned that confidence is not about being the loudest person in the room. It comes from knowing who you are, knowing what you have survived, knowing what you have built, and being comfortable enough to let the work speak for itself.

The older I get, the less interested I am in proving anything. I am focused on purpose, excellence, impact, and continuing to become the man I know I am capable of being.

The clothes may change. The rooms may change. The level may change. The standard does not.

What is one standard you refuse to lower as you move into your next level?

Just because I feel like it on this good Tuesday. Success is not built in one big moment. It is built in the small decisions you make over and over again.

For those of you who may just be joining us, here is a little about me.

Chef Tim Morgan is the founder of Tim Morgan Catering & Events, an Atlanta catering company known for elevated food, professional service, and memorable experiences throughout Metro Atlanta. From corporate events and weddings to private celebrations, church functions, galas, and special occasions, Tim has built his name through consistency, discipline, hospitality, and a commitment to excellence.

That is why this quote matters. “Success isn’t about what you wear, but about the mindset you carry, the discipline you practice, and the impact you leave.” The suit may catch your attention, but the real story is in the work. The early mornings, the preparation, the details, the relationships, and the decision to keep showing up and keep getting better. That same mindset shows up in every event Tim Morgan Catering & Events serves.

If you are planning an event in Atlanta and want more than just food, you want an experience people remember, visit www.timmorgancatering.com.
Now let’s talk. What is one small win you are committed to creating for yourself this week? Drop it in the comments. You never know, you may meet the accountability partner you did not know you needed right here in the conversation.

I wrote The Homeless Millionaire Chef because my story did not begin with success. It began in Columbus, Georgia, during the 1970s, in a time when my family and so many other Black families were still navigating the realities of integration, equality, and finding our place in a changing America.

This book is about more than becoming a chef or building businesses. It is about the experiences that shaped me, the doors I kept closed for years, the lessons I learned through pain, faith, fear, resilience, and eventually success.

I have learned that your past can either become a prison or a classroom. When you have the courage to go back and understand where you came from, you may discover the very lessons you need to move forward.

Today, people know me as The Homeless Millionaire Chef, entrepreneur, community leader, philanthropist, and founder of Tim Morgan Catering & Events. But I want you to know the journey behind the title.

My hope is that somewhere inside my story, you recognize a piece of your own and realize that where you started does not have to determine where you finish.
