Imagine it’s the summer of 1998.
It’s Saturday. The sun’s out, school’s out, and someone tells you to grab your shoes because you’re going to your great-grandma’s house.

You get excited — because you already know what that means. Family will be there. You’ll see your cousins, run around outside, stay up way too late, eat some really good food, and be surrounded by laughter and love.

Back then, it didn’t take much to bring people together. A big pot on the stove, folding chairs pulled from the closet, and a whole lot of love. Her yard would be flooded with people — kids running free, music playing, and the smell of something good in the air.

We’re 90s babies — the last generation that truly knew what community felt like. When you could knock on your neighbor’s door to borrow a cup of sugar. When folks brought casseroles if someone was sick or grieving. When the people next door kept an eye on your kids like they were their own.

It really did take a village… and somewhere along the way, we lost that connection to each other.

The Stronger Together Foundation was created to bring that feeling back.

To remind people what it means to care for one another. To share love through food, laughter, and community. To rebuild the village — one meal, one person, one act of kindness at a time.

Originally from Southern Virginia, Danielle has always had a heart for caring for others. Known for cooking to feed an army while raising her daughter, she showed Kaila from a young age how food and love can bring people together. That same spirit of generosity and community is a big part of what inspired The Stronger Together Foundation. 💛

Originally from Minnesota, Tiera has called Georgia home for over a decade. When she heard our founder Kaila’s vision for The Stronger Together Foundation, she instantly felt called to be part of it.

A proud mom of two and a creative at heart, Tiera is also a licensed nail tech and mentor who works with teenage girls in a group home setting — a role she loves deeply. Her compassion and creativity shine through in everything she does! 🧡
