While I was in 100 Level at the University of Ibadan, Queens Hall to be precise.I made a very hot and incredibly delicious pasta.

As we ate, my roommate, Oyindamola, kept shouting, "Pepper! Pepper!" She was drinking water nonstop, yet she couldn't stop eating it.😄 In fact, she still asked for more because it was that delicious.

Years later, especially with kids around, I haven't made anything quite as hot as that pasta.

But yesterday, I made a pasta dish that brought back those memories. It wasn't quite as fiery as the Queens Hall version, but it had one thing in common: everyone kept saying it was hot, reaching for water, and then going right back for another bite.

My kids were screaming, "It's hot!" while drinking water, yet they each had about three servings until there was barely any left.

We all enjoyed it so much that now I'm wondering... maybe I've been going too easy on the pepper all these years. 😂🌶️
