OKTOBERFEST // BEHOLD THE BEERS OF THE SEASON.
the elms are letting go of the summer green and going yellow
and red and orange, and we are doing something similar in the
glass.
five l***rs. all of them l***red. all of them for some time.
Atlanta water in every one of them. German malt in all of them. German hops and yeast in all of them.
and the liters are back, which happens now, and then does not
happen again until when its now again.
slide right, kindred spirit.
1: WHOLE CONE FEST MÄRZEN ~ Celebratory Hopfen L***r
we brew our Märzen and then, on the way to the fermenter, we
send the hot wort through a hop back packed with whole leaf
cones from our friends at SeitzFarm. the whole
flower, still in the shape it grew in.
this time brewed with Bamberg malt, whole cone SeitzFarm hops, german
yeast, and Atlanta water.
a field, briefly. new this year!
2: SHELL ~ German-style Schwarzbier
after the fall, we climb back into our a ghost without a Shell. or we start writing in the bash shell.
sometimes now automated, but that takes away the art!
an approachable, smooth, black l***r. bittersweet chocolate
and just a kiss of darkness.
a shell is the hard part around the soft part. in computing
it is the layer wrapped around the kernel, the part you
actually talk to. so talk to each other over this bier!
comfort, either way. beautiful perhaps; definitely delicious.
3: ALL CAPS ~ GERMAN-STYLE EXPORT HELLES. OUR PALE FESTBIER.
IT IS LIKE METRIC, LOUDER BUT STILL BALANCED. SUBTLE NOTES OF
ALL THE GOOD SPICY SEITZFARM VARIETIES, NOTABLY HERSBRUCKER. CLEAN AND ELEGANT.
THIS IS THE ONE THEY ACTUALLY DRINK IN MUNICH. EVERYONE
ASSUMES MÄRZEN. WE ARE NOT YELLING ABOUT IT. WE ARE SINGING
ABOUT IT ‧₊˚♪ 𝄞₊˚⊹
WE LOVE IT. WE LOVE YOU. 1 MAß PLEASE!
4: KELVIN ~ German-style Smoked Helles
smart and thoughtful. a nice subtle smoke. a beautiful and
elegant thing we look forward to every year.
there are many types of smoke signals but only one true way of
signaling and we think that is with bier and light hints of
smoke. it’s a Helles after all! the only noise in the morning
is the small fire crackling and the smoke blowing through the
malt. there is no one stirring.
A percentage smoked malt. So that makes this a rauchbier, right? some people may think it is too quiet. We think it is just right.
this is the bier the whole thing was built around, back in
2019, when it was one afternoon and not four weeks. We wanted to make something for ourselves that you would also hopefully drink.
5: FEST MÄRZEN ~ German-style Seasonal Amber L***r
the one everyone means when they say Oktoberfest.
beautifully bright and pleasantly malty; a soft floral hop
character; a clean, flavorful finish.
brewed with hops from our friends at SeitzFarm, Bamberg malt,
german yeast, and Atlanta water. l***red, and l***red.
when it comes to Oktoberfest, fill your liters with something clean and amber!
