Spring time is swarm season for honey bees. When a colony comes through the winter strong, they often get overcrowded and decide to split from their hive in search of a new home. While it can look scary to see a ball of tens of thousands of honey bees, they are not going to attack or harm you. Their goal is to protect their queen and get to their new home.

If you see a swarm of bees, please do not disturb them, do not spray them with anything. There are many local beekeepers, ourselves included, who would love a phone call to help remedy the situation. If you see a swarm please call or text me, 906.281.0193
