Purple Rooster Farm is a culmination of good things. Sustainable agriculture on a self-sustaining farm, going beyond organic, we are 100% all-natural. We do not use any chemicals, ever. We prefer to use the term "open-pastured" to describe the method in which we raise our poultry (as opposed to "free-range" which is simply a USDA term meaning "less-caged.") Our birds are allowed free access and fr

ee choice to roam our 10 acres (as well as making visits to our neighbors across the road.) They consume grass, weeds, seeds, bugs, worms, insects, and occasionally the garden. We planted our first 300 aronia berry bushes in 2009, which are now in full berry production. One bush can provide around 30 lbs of berries annually, which is great because they are so incredibly healthy for you!
