📍 WHERE CAN YOU FIND US?

Morning chores are starting a little later these days. The sweatshirt comes out before heading to the barn, real shoes replace the summer slip-ons, and the sun is setting a little earlier every night.

Summer is quickly coming to a close.

And around here, that means it's time to start thinking about stocking the freezer for fall and winter—not just shopping for tonight's dinner.

This weekend you can find GR Farm Shop at the East China Farmers Roots- A Farmers Market:

🌾 Sunday, August 30th
⏰ 8 AM–2 PM

We'll be bringing plenty of our pasture-raised chicken, along with some of the breakfast sausage we still have in stock.

And pork is coming! 🐷 Our final two hogs of the year head to C. Roy's this week, which means we'll have **fresh pork back in the freezers very soon.**

That's one of the ways I know summer is almost over on the farm. We're wrapping up the pigs and meat chickens for the year, filling the freezers, and getting ready for the season ahead.

🐔 LOOK WHAT WE HAVE — WHOLE CHICKENS!

What's something we haven't had a whole lot of this season? Whole chickens! 😂

Right now, we have 7 whole pasture-raised chickens available, ranging from 5.5 to 6.75 lbs and priced at $4.50/lb.

All 7 are available to order on our website now, and any that are left will be coming with us to the Mount Clemens Farmers Market tomorrow!

If you've been waiting for a whole bird, we strongly recommend ordering ahead to make sure one has your name on it before market day.

Veggies came from my yard 🪏with a special appearance from my failed greek yogurt in the cucumber salad - turning lemons (runny yogurt) into lemonade (cucumber salad dressing) 🍋

Last year, we did our very first event with Ouellette Events and Beth at Goodells Park.

At the time, GR Farm Shop was still very small, and honestly, we weren’t sure what the future looked like. But that day showed us something we needed to see: there was a real place for our little farm in feeding local communities.

That event gave us a reason to keep going instead of closing our shop doors.

So when the opportunity came to sponsor Slow Down Summer this year, of course we wanted to be part of it. ❤️

What a difference one year can make. We’re incredibly grateful to Beth, to the other small businesses we’ve met along the way, and especially to every person who has stopped at our table, filled a market bag, told a friend about us, or come back to shop again.

You helped us keep going. And we’re so glad we did. 👩‍🌾

Morning chores come before the world is awake. The reward is getting to watch it come alive.

We don’t get many slow mornings on the farm, but when the new bacon came home, we made time for one.

Uncured, hickory smoked bacon from our own pork. Free-range eggs. Apple cake made with apples from our trees. A breakfast almost entirely grown right here. ❤️

We drove all the way to Rosebush to have this pig processed at The Cut Custom Processing—and after breakfast this morning, we can officially say the bacon was worth the drive. It may be the best we’ve ever had.

And yes, we had to taste-test it before we brought it to you. 😉

The new bacon makes its market debut August 15th at Slow Down Summer!

To everyone who has recently found our page—welcome. We’re so glad you’re here.

Grange Return is a family farm in Lapeer County, and while we’re passionate about raising quality food, what has surprised us most is that the best part of this journey isn’t the food at all…

Every market, every Local Route Pick Up Night, and every conversation reminds us why we keep getting up before sunrise and loading the truck each weekend.
