The last wood up for the year. After a terrible year in 2021 we bounced back and had great production in 2022. 47 days between the first boil and the last. Now to start cleaning up and pulling taps and getting ready for 2023!

Sap was running great on Thursday and Friday, it made for a very busy few days hauling and boiling all the sap. Hopefully we will be able to continue for a couple more weeks yet! Pray for good syrup weather....

We have finished tapping and the sap is running! Should be boiling Friday evening! Special shoutout to Mike Brotherton, Dan Manko, Jim, and Dad for working the last few days getting all the trees drilled! Let the sap flow.

This is a warm welcome sight, it's the end of the wet and dry system on a big portion of one of our woods and means we're that much closer to being done tapping. We only have about 1,000 left to drill!!! Snowshoes are making it nice in the woods.

Well just like that another maple season is right on the horizon. We've been extremely busy, in the woods and the sugarhouse, over the last few months. The 2021 season came to an end tonight, it was short and left a little to be desired but there is always next year. With that comes end of year oil and filter changes on the vacuum pumps. Now onto pulling all the taps!!

Sap ran decent yesterday for a 1 day run! Things will get very busy soon.
Sap is flowing. Now back to the sugarhouse to get everything ready to make the first syrup of the 2020 season!
Sap sure was running yesterday. Had above 2% sugar content from all our woods, that's pretty rare for us. Made some nice syrup too!!!
Made another 30 gallons of syrup last. Great color and taste!
Made about 50 gallons of this great tasting golden syrup tonight.
We started tapping today for the 2019 season. Got 1,700 in, only 800 more to go! Hoping for a little run this week to test all the equipment. Keep your fingers crossed!
24 taps on this 3/16ths line, running well today!
We boiled in about 1,500 gallons of sap last night, making some beautiful Amber colored syrup!!

Many thanks to Cathy for taking me, my wife and three grandkids on a great walk into the woods to see the pump house and explain it's operation. She also set us up with another staff member who demonstrated how they tap trees and even let the kids try it themselves. She spent alot of quality time with us explaining other aspects of the business and how they make maple syrup. Many thanks to you all. We had a great time, and yes, the syrup is delicious!!!
