Our visiting peafowl are still visiting, as you will see them snacking on watermelon left overs with our chicken, they are either starving or very used to people.

Our peafowl live in a corn crib, if you didn’t know. They like to be up high so I built them a platform basically in the roof to hide from bad weather or whatever their reason, and they love it… They love it so much, our hen lays her eggs up here instead of in the pine chip nest I provided where I can reach.

Undiagnosed OCD when you can’t figure out where to put the last egg in the incubator tray because it messes up the pattern.

Update on these Bob White Quail eggs that were shipped from Georgia- 2 had cracks and did not develop, the rest are developing well!

2 birds missing. 2 birds only feathers left behind. 2 quail ripped through the tiny bars on their cage after the predator broke into the chicken run. Score is 4 🦝 to 6 🐥. I will win this battle!

Life has been a little busy so I haven’t taken the opportunity to share that we have BOB WHITE QUAIL in the incubator!!! Quail Lady Brittany Freedom Flyers packaged these very nicely.

Better than watching TV when 3 beautiful exotic birds join your farm for the day!

Lynken has been dying to test out the nail gun so I told him he could help me assemble bee equipment. 🐝 🔨
These are frames for our hives.
All our glue was dried up and the nearest store only had tacky glue so we are trying it out.

Wishing our little hunter the best of luck today getting a turkey!

Update. We did not candle the egg before putting it in the incubator but we checked it yesterday and found that it was cracked and had blood lines. Blood lines are signs that eggs are not developing properly, the crack was likely from being dropped by a predator bird.
