It’s been eight and a half years since we lost our sweet Chandler. There are truly no words to capture the heartbreak of losing a child—especially to su***de. Not a single moment passes that he isn’t on my mind. I miss his quick wit and those incredible hugs. I miss the way his smile could light up even the darkest day. I miss hearing the beautiful music he created—he was so unbelievably talented. I just miss my son… and the pain of his absence never fades.
Chandler was deeply loved by so many, but his depression kept him from seeing his own worth. As a family, we did everything we could to help him fight his battle with depression, but in the end, the illness won and took him from us. No family should ever have to know the agony of continuing life without their child or loved one.
The American Foundation for Su***de Prevention (AFSP) is an incredible organization dedicated to preventing su***de and supporting families who have lost someone they love.
