As the little piggies grow, they get very curious about their surroundings and they go exploring!!! We have to round them up again!! Nothing funnier or cuter than these little bacon bits running as fast as they can all the way home😂😂😂😂

We Julie Moore-Baum are excited this year for our new sow, Gloria, she has had her first litter!! We are always a little nervous for the first time sows, but we were pretty confident she was going to do well!! Welcome to the world!! Baby pigs make this ugly world just a little better!!

So I would like to touch base with our friends/customers!! We have not been active for quite some time and I would like to explain to you why??
We have 3 goals here at Stony Acres, and they are the following:

1. Raise loved and cared for Pork/Beef that is not commercially pushed. We do not like to push our animals to finish weights. This does however mean that our cost to get them there goes up, but we know that this gives us a better product!! My wife and kids often ask how I can give our animals so much love and care when the inevitable is death, and my response to them is that I give them the best life they can have in the short time here!!

2. PROVIDE GOOD QUALITY PRODUCTS. (simple as that)

3. This one is why we do what we do!! We are NOT doing this for the sole purpose of being profitable!! We want to cover our cost while providing meat for our family!! You just don’t know what you are getting at the grocery store, but when we go to the freezer we know what that animal was fed and the care that it received!!

That last goal is a big reason why we have not been active for so long!! We were a little uncertain of the stability of the economy and did not want to deplete our supply. But as you can see from the previous post we are looking to move more product again to give you a product that was loved and cared for ( as well as delicious )!!

Thank you for continued support, and we look forward to working with you again this coming year!! We have also had 2 new litters of spring pigs!! So excited for that and we will be posting many pictures!!!

Pork is back! We have not posted pork for sale for a bit because our last group of piglets went to friends of ours who raise pigs down in Lititz!

Well ,we have had more babies born and another sow is due anyday so it’s time to clean out the freezers to make room for more! We are discounting the meat we currently have in stock by 25%. I have the sale price listed below on the sheet. We DO NOT have any bacon for sale right now, BUT we do have spare ribs that are not listed on the sheet if anyone would be interested! They are $9.00 a lb!
Also, Scott Baum would like to start a list for people who may be interested in putting an order in for pulled pork for Memorial Day! That seems like so far away, but we want to look forward to summer and start planning for it!! So let me know if your interested and how many lbs you would want and I’ll start a list! It’s so nice to have on hand as well. Easy to freeze and pull out for a quick meal. That will be $12 a pound! Thank you everyone for your continued support!
