Life lessons on the Farm: Compassion: Two of the baby keets (runts) passed yesterday. It took Ronan (4yr) about 30 minutes to come to terms with the acceptance that he could not save it. He came up with many ideas, pondered each one, realized that they would not work, shed a tear and buried it. Evie (7yr) decided that she wanted to keep the other keet as comfortable as possible as she passed. She kept her warm, held her close and gave the keet her last sips of water. When she past she placed her in a bed of flowers and buried her.
