Have you wondered what happened to us?
We're still alive and kicking here at the J.V. Ranch but we've made a few changes. Due to the drought we decided to suspend operations at farmers markets. You can however still purchase 1/4, 1/2, or whole beef, by giving us a call. We will gladly reserve your beef for you!
During the drought of the nineteen seventies, I watched my great grandparents, grandparents, and parents, struggle just to "hold on" nearly losing their ranches. They knew how to do things one way and it nearly bankrupted them.
This time I decided to employ a diversification tactic, that so far offers very promising results. We feel it was the best thing we could've done, considering the weather and our country's current financial climate. We are no longer just "J.V Ranch Beef", we are now known as "J.V. Ranch" purveyors of beef, goat, and pork (coming soon). If you never had all natural raised goat, youre in for a taste treat, and who doesn't like pork chops or bacon?
