Our farm, which was homesteaded in the 1870's, has been family owned since 1954. In 1975, we, the second generation, began operating Canter-Berry Farms. In 1983, we began selling our deli

cious blueberry products at Seattle's Pike Place Market where they became famous for their quality, freshness, and true blueberry flavor.

Dear BLUEBERRY friends and customers! We have exciting news to share with you.
Our Canter-Berry Farms that we, Doug and Clarissa have loved for our last 50 years has been sold. Clarissa's folks originally purchased the farm in 1954 from the grandson of the first settler on the farm. Clarissa and Doug took over the farm in 1975 after finishing college and marrying.

We had the official handing over of the keys this last week to the new owners. The new owners are a non-profit organization named Wakulima, USA. Their vision of the farm is to continue the legacy we have built at the farm and don't worry they will be including a U-pick BLUEBERRY 🫐 🫐 🫐 season along with more expansion of the farming aspects on the farmland as time goes forward. They have already done a beautiful job of pruning the blueberry field.
We hope you embrace them as you have embraced us for the last 50 years. We have moved to the Port Townsend area where we plan to sail off into the many beautiful sunsets the Salish sea has to offer.

How can we express ourselves to thank all of you wonderful customers for coming to our farm?❣️
We started our season early and with the heat we had this summer, we were able to finish exceptionally early.
We have COMPLETED our harvest and our farm is now CLOSED.🫐🫐🫐🫐🫐🫐🫐🫐🫐
It was a milestone for the two of us to finish 50 years of married life having this farm and working together on it over the years. It included taking care of the Blueberries, restoring our 146 year old barn, planting more flowers🤣, making our blueberry products and wine and raising and showing our beautiful American Saddlebred horses. We've loved every minute of it. So happy we could share it with all of you💙💙....just a few final photos from our final day.

Who wouldn't want to pick BLUEBERRIES tomorrow, Wednesday, August 13th?
- It is our FINAL DAY of U-Pick at Canter-Berry Farms for the season!
- The weather will be in the mid-70's (not the 97° we had today)!
- There are still delicious tasting BLUEBERRIES 🫐 to pick!
- Also, it's your final chance to pick up our farm's honey!
- And we still have some gorgeous pieces of the hand painted BLUEBERRY design Polish pottery!
- OH and did I say that WEDNESDAY WILL BE OUR FINAL DAY TO BE OPEN FOR BLUEBERRY U-PICKING 🫐🫐

Hi everyone!! If you want our good U-Pick BLUEBERRIES before they are all gone, you best be heading up SE Green Valley Road tomorrow Tuesday, August 12th to be here when we open at 8 am. That way you can beat the 90°+ weather we are expecting.
Hope to see you soon as we will be closing U-Pick in a day or two.
Bring a container for transporting the berries home. Don't forget your water bottle, sun hat, sun glasses and sun screen.

BLUEBERRY U-PICKING continues on August 11th, Monday from 8 to 6.
Temperatures will be in the 90's, so come early and enjoy some good picking. Truthfully, we are beginning to see the bushes across the field start to actually look empty.
Bring your sun hats, sun screen, sun glasses and of course your appetite since the berries taste so good.
We will have Dixies to pick in the morning along with Jerseys.

What a beautiful day it was for picking BLUEBERRIES 🫐 here at the farm. Always a joy to meet new people and introduce them to these delicious BLUEBERRIES 🫐🫐.
We will be closed both Saturday and Sunday (August 9th and 10th). It will allow more to reripen so we can open again for U-Pick on Monday, August 11th at 8:00 am!!
We hope to see you then bright and early. Hot weather is on its way.

Our farm will be open Thursday, August 7th from 8 to 6 for U-Pick BLUEBERRIES 🫐🫐. The BLUEBERRIES are still plentiful and very tasty😋💙
Heavy Rains did not deter the pickers in our field today! Groups left the farm with 40 lbs, 22 lbs, etc🌧️🫐☔
All with smiles on their wet faces. We had 2 different groups today from Mexico who were visiting relatives in the area along with a family from Dubai also visiting relatives here. These groups appreciated our rainstorm as did our Washington natives. The wet earth smelled so good!!

We will be open for U-Pick BLUEBERRIES 🫐💙💙🫐 on Wednesday, August 6th. Hours 8-6. We still have picking spots left in the field for you. Interesting how fast the blueberries have ripened with this warmer weather. We are actually on our 3rd pick of the field. Very early harvest!
We are stocked up with honey and honey comb from our farm. Plan to pick up a jar while you are here. IT REALLY IS THE BEST TASTING RAW HONEY👍🏽🐝🐝

As our 2025 BLUEBERRY 🫐 season begins to wind down, we want you to know we will be open Tuesday, August 5th for some excellent u- picking.
Come now and get some more for fresh eating and for storing in your freezer for this winter! Picking is really fun and easy. It's always great to just pick and eat fresh BLUEBERRIES 🫐 just off the bush.💙💙🫐🫐
We, as owners, never tire of eating those delicious blueberries as we walk through the field😉🤣 You can never have too many.
Remember to bring your container for taking them home. They are only $3.50 per pound
