Happy Memorial Day. Since my grandfather, who served in the Army in WWI and was awarded a Distinguished Service Cross for bravery, and my father, who served in WWII in the Marines; are buried in CT; I honored Private Ogle by cleaning his grave in an old cemetery nearby and adorned with American flags. Their service is appreciated and honored.

May 5 ran a "virtual" foot race - Cinco de Miler...Wasn't sure if this would be fun, however, the benefit to a charitable cause as well as the medal and t-shirt being so cool I tried it. Missed the competitive feel with others racing, however, highly recommend it for numerous reasons-charity, heath, and self satisfaction. Just Do it! Swoosh!

Where was Black Vette Wine? With son and friends at a Cinco de Mayo (safe) celebration. The chocolate cake baked with cayenne pepper and cinnamon along with butter cream frosting was awesome. Yep, amazingly so I made it! Black Vette Wine, great friends, and yummy cake...goes great together.
