💦 Job of the Week 💦

In Lakeland, FL, we replaced a 3" Grundfos submersible pump, but the pump wasn’t the surprise. 🌳 The tree beside this well had been there so long that it grew right around the well casing! The tree had to be removed before we could replace the pump.

Ever seen anything this unusual at your own well? Tell us about it in the comments 👇

📚 Always Learning 📚

Last week, Caleb and Cody attended a training with Phase Technologies to get hands-on experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs). At Fussell Well Drilling, we’re always striving to learn, keep up with new technology and industry developments, and bring in new products that help us serve our customers best.

Why Phase Technologies? 💪
🇺🇸 Every drive is engineered, assembled, and tested at their headquarters in South Dakota
💲 They’re good quality at a very affordable price
🔧 They make replacement parts for their VFDs, so repairs don’t mean replacing the whole unit like with many other brands.

Better training means better service for you! Have a question about VFDs or your well pump system? Give us a call!

💦 Job of the Week 💦

This week in Bartow, we finished converting an irrigation well into a limited use PWS well! A limited use PWS is a small public water system regulated by the Florida Department of Health. The well is equipped with a 7.5hp submersible pump and a variable frequency drive (VFD). It now meets all of the requirements to be a limited use public water system well. ✅

Need a well converted, or have questions about PWS requirements? Give us a call!

💦 Water Well Questions Wednesday 💦

This week: What's the difference between a shallow well and a deep well?

Here's the surprise: the names have nothing to do with how deep the well is! 😮 The type of well depends on what aquifer and formations the well is drilled in.

What type of well do you have? Tell us in the comments 👇

Meet the Fussell Family: Cody 💧

Cody is our Service Crew Supervisor, a 5th-generation well driller, and a retired U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer. He returned home in 2024 to be closer to family and joined the business full-time.

Today, he helps our service crew troubleshoot, repair, and design water well systems. Cody is married to Darian and brings a service-focused mindset to his work: he wants customers facing an out-of-water emergency to feel the same confidence he'd want for his own family.

Give Cody a hello below!

💥Starting this week off with a bang! 💥

When a bladder tank is too far gone to save, we find other uses for it... like target practice! This one was already shot (pun intended) before Tim ever pulled the trigger — just an old, worn-out tank getting a second life as some stress relief. Don't worry, we only retire the tanks that have truly retired themselves.

No working tanks were harmed in the making of this video.

Think your tank might be on its last leg? Let's find out before it ends up like this one. Give us a call!

💦 Job of the Week 💦

This week in Haines City, we tackled an iron problem head-on! We installed a 2-cube air injection iron removal system for a customer to help treat their water for iron — no more staining and no more metallic taste.

Did you know that iron is one of many minerals found in well water, and while it does affect water quality, it does not affect the safety of your drinking water?

Noticing orange or reddish stains in your sinks or tubs? Give us a call!
