We have a produce farm stand open to the public and also have a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) located at 6488 Bilbrey Nursery Rd in Auburndale, Florida. We use organic growing methods and follow the USDA's National Organic Program rules and regulations. Wh

at this means to our customers and CSA members is fresh, locally grown produce that is healthier and more nutritious because no harmful products were used in their production. To explain what CSA is all about: since first begun in the 1980s, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) has become a popular way for consumers to buy local, seasonal food directly from a farmer. A farmer offers a certain number of "shares" to the public. Typically the share consists of an insulated tote of vegetables, but other farm products may be included. Interested consumers purchase a share (aka a "membership" or a "subscription") and in return receive a box (bag, basket) of seasonal produce each week throughout the farming season. Our 2023-24 CSA season (our 12th!) is full and will be starting in early November 2023.

The start of our fall seed planting 🌱 -- tomatoes, peppers, eggplant and okra! Next week we'll be planting collard and kale seeds.

Our fall seeds have arrived! Goose and Bear Bilbrey are scanning them to make sure that their catnip seeds were in the box, as promised.

Over the past month we have been clearing 🚜 the field, repairing and doing maintenance on equipment, washing and sanitizing the greenhouse, planting sweet 🍠 potatoes, ordering supplies and much more. We will begin planting seeds 🌱 next week. And so it begins!

We just wanted to remind everyone that our Farm Stand is closed for the summer 🌞 as of this week.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone again in the fall 🍂 for the 15th season for our farm 🌱 and CSA.

THIS IS OUR FINAL WEEKEND FOR THE SEASON!

Farmer Rodger is clearing everything out of the field and bringing it up to our Farm Stand. We will be open on Friday from 1 to 6 pm and Saturday from 8 am to 2 pm. After that, we are closed for the summer (it's just too hot to grow anything!) and plan on re-opening in early November. In addition to a few siestas for Farmer Rodger and me (Carol), there is still plenty to do:

* field clean-up and preparing it for next season
* equipment repair/maintenance
* ordering seeds for fall and planting them in August
* field planting in September/October

There will be occasional updates here of our summer progress along with photos.

Our cherry tomatoes -- red and sun gold -- have finally turned their glorious colors and are available at our Farm Stand on Friday (1 to 6) and Saturday (8 am to 2 pm). We also have for the first time our spaghetti squash as well as our spring crop of fairy tale eggplant plus much more of our freshly harvested, organically grown veggies.

Our Farm Stand will be open this week on Friday from 1 to 6 pm and Saturday from 8 am to 2 pm. We'll have the first of our spring crop of jalapeños 🌶️ (limited) as well as our other freshly harvested, organically grown veggies. Also available is our local, pure, raw and delicious Wildflower and Orange Blossom honey 🍯 in assorted sizes.

Next week we will have our cherry tomatoes 🍒, fairy tale eggplant and spaghetti squash.

We have the first of our cubanelle peppers this week along with all our squash, Kirby cucumbers, sweet potatoes and much more at our Farm Stand.

Our Farm Stand will be open this Mother's Day weekend -- on Friday from 1 to 6 pm and Saturday from 8 am to 2 pm. We will have freshly harvested, organically grown carrots once again plus much more of our fresh-off-the-farm veggies.
