Greg “Gig” Ladd is a pitmaster, veteran, and community builder with a passion for smoke and service. As the owner of Gig’s BBQ, he’s turned a love of barbecue into an award-winning brand known for its bold flavors, signature Sweet & Sassy Sauce, and Bella’s Dry Rub. At the heart of it all is Hogzilla, his custom-designed smoker that helps deliver the slow-smoked perfection that keeps folks lining up on Bloomery Pike. But Gig’s fire doesn’t burn only in the pit. He also serves as Senior Director of ITS Field Services for a major global company, where he applies the same principles of leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving that drive his success in barbecue. Whether guiding a worldwide IT operation or pulling ribs off the smoker, Greg is focused on one thing—taking care of people. For him, it’s simple: work hard, keep the smoke rolling, and make sure everyone leaves full and happy.
