😂 If you hear screaming coming from Bethel Farm over the next few days… everyone is FINE. We promise.

Our next batch of girls has decided it’s officially their turn to come into heat, and apparently this is information that must be shared loudly and repeatedly with the entire farm. 📢🐐

Meanwhile, Bradley has realized his genetics will not be needed for this breeding session, and he is taking being left out of the lineup very personally. 😂

The girls are yelling.
Bradley is jealous.
Flash has been given the assignment.
And this will likely be the soundtrack at Bethel Farm for the next few days. 🤦🏼‍♀️🐐

Breeding season, y’all. Never a dull—or quiet—moment around here. 😂❤️

This heat is brutal, and this is the time of day when you really need to be checking on your animals. Heat exhaustion and heat stroke can happen quickly, and sometimes you don’t realize there’s a problem until it’s serious.

We make a point to walk through and check everybody—not just their water, but the animals themselves. Are they drinking? Are they breathing normally? Are they finding shade? Is anyone standing off by themselves or acting different?

And please, check on your outside pets too. Dogs, cats, chickens, goats, horses—anything outside needs access to plenty of fresh water, shade, and relief from the heat.

Don’t just fill the water bowl in the morning and assume they’re good all day. Go check on them. ❤️

Every morning, the humans disappear into the barn and somehow come back out with buckets of milk. So naturally, I had to investigate. 👀 I found the window, pressed my little face up to it, and waited patiently for someone to notice me.

Thankfully, Sulley got some pain medicine to keep him comfortable… but apparently pain relief does not cover emotional damages. 😂

There’s something about seeing Lilly standing beside her little Nova Star that gets me every time. 🤍

Lilly’s story has been one of endurance. She has been through hard things, adapted to circumstances we never would have chosen for her, and somehow has never lost that determined little spirit that makes her Lilly.

She just keeps going.

And now, standing beside her is Nova, her daughter, our keeper, and a little piece of Lilly’s story that gets to continue here at Bethel Farm.

I think sometimes God allows us to see His faithfulness most clearly when we look back at everything we thought might break us and realize… He carried us through it. The hard parts weren’t the end of the story.

Lilly reminds me that strength doesn’t mean never struggling. Sometimes strength is simply continuing to put one foot in front of the other, trusting that God is still working even when we can’t see what He’s doing yet.

And Nova feels like one of those sweet reminders of what can be waiting on the other side. ✨

A mama who endured.
A daughter who carries her legacy.
And a God who has been faithful through it all.
