WE’RE STARTING SOMETHING NEW…

After a lot of thinking, planning, and talking behind the scenes, we’ve decided it’s time for a TOTAL rebrand.

What started as Smush is going to become something much different.

We recently shared our post about the trademark issue with the name, and we’ve decided to change the name entirely.

Our goal was to stay open year-round so we could provide year-round employment for our staff. However, after being open for three months, we’ve realized that it simply isn’t busy enough to sustain a dessert-only concept, and business will likely slow down even more as fall and winter arrive.

We’ve also been fighting a few challenges, including the Water Street construction and the lack of parking directly in front of Smush. We’re sure some people don’t want to drive around downtown looking for parking just to grab a quick dessert, and that has definitely limited our customer base.

So, we’re changing the name, the look, and expanding the food concept — but we’re keeping the part we know you love: BIG, FUN, OVER-THE-TOP DESSERTS.

The new menu will feature:

Paninis
Soups
Red hot dogs
Grab-and-go salads
Loaded baked potatoes
Warm homemade cookies
Our famous-style cookie ice cream sandwiches
Crazy loaded shakes
Ice cream and plenty of other sweet treats

We want this to become a place where you can stop in for lunch, grab dinner, or come in just because you’re craving something sweet.

And here’s where YOU come in…

WE NEED A NAME!

We have been throwing around a bunch of ideas, but before we make that final decision, we want to hear what our customers think.

But we’re not set on that name yet, and we’d love to hear what you think!
