It's cooled down so we have eggs back out for the first half of this week. 5 dozen are ready to go!
Despite our best efforts last week was a little too toasty and humid and some eggies did not appreciate it so once those temps go back up we won't have them down there but I will let you know if we have extras at the house. Can't have eggs going bad!

Our Opie has recently managed to tear both of his CCLs and is currently recovering from his second surgery (which hasn't been a walk in the park for his owners either). A CCL is the equivalent of the human ACL, and tearing is unfortunately a common injury seen in vet clinics.

Goose and Maverick hatched their first gosling! Babe is almost a week old and loving spending the day outside with Maverick all day! The two of them also thought they needed to be outside during the tornados yesterday until I "rudely" made them go inside! 😂

I love watching my birds have successful hatches of their own 🥰

Cougar is also sitting on some eggs so we will see how many more we get this year!

I finally set my first eggs of the year a little over a week ago. For those who know me, it was very delayed from normal! But, the wait was worth it because my Ameraucanas are absolutely killing it with fertility!

We also had our first gosling hatch! What a fun thing to come home to today. Our female pilgrims both went broody while we were on vacation. I decided to let them do their thing!

Exciting things are happening here! First we bring home our first LGD baby Oy in a couple weeks! Then welcoming our first human baby in August!
I have delayed hatching this year but, the babies will be hatching soon so stay tuned! The girls are laying and the boys are doing their job as of right now! So here's to hoping they keep it up!
