Located in Oneida County, our beautiful upstate New York family farm primarily offers forest grown mushroom products and now expanded, a full line of specialty produce items. Located in Oneida County, our upstate New York family run farm is surrounded by beautiful vistas, vast farm acreage, majestic windmills and the peaceful sounds of horse drawn Amish wagons and carriages. Classifying ourselves
as a "forest farm" we concentrate on small and niche market production. In addition to our Forest Grown Shiitake Mushrooms, we now included elderberries, pink p***y willows, 400 lavender plants (now matured), sunflowers, specialty tomatoes, and pawpaws. We also have a 3 acre open field, that we see as a large vegetable garden that is diverse but efficient. We do the work by ourselves with a passion for high quality fruit and produce which we feel cannot be achieved by farming on large acreage. All planting, cultivation, and harvesting is done manually, though we use modern tools and techniques that keep us efficient and competitive. We find that farming this way is hard physical work but is more productive, and we can grow vegetables of a higher quality. We rotate our plots and cover crop annually, all while slowly expanding into new product lines. We are brand new, and right now, our concentration is on field preparation, building soil fertility and enjoying our constant journey through learning. Our focus is on simplicity, affordability, sustainability and practicality. Our goal, to produce diverse forest products, fruit and vegetables of a higher quality.
